Jannarlia Dumas off to 17U National Indigenous Basketball Tournament.

Jannarlia Dumas, a product of the Taree Tornadoes junior basketball program, will be in Brisbane later this week competing in the first 17U National Indigenous Basketball Tournament.

The Opening Ceremony of 2023 NIBT National Indigenous Basketball Tournament will be conducted on Wednesday, 27/09/2023 at the Northside Indoor Sports Centre in Zillmere, Queensland with the tournament then to run until Sunday, 01/10/2023.

Jannarli is a member of the New South Wales team, who will competing against teams from Queensland South, Queensland North, Torres Strait, Western Australia, Victoria and South Australia.

The NIBT is a great opportunity for Indigenous youth to showcase their talent, learn new skills, make new friends and celebrate their culture through basketball as well as being presented with the opportunity to be selected for the IBA National Academy and the IBA National Team.

Games in the 17U National Indigenous Basketball Tournament will be live streamed and will provide the opportunity for young players to watch the standard of play needed to reach this level.
